Artemis Director's Viewfinder App Reviews

Updated to 6.0 It now supports the iPhone 5s screen. But does not seem to take full advantage of it for the camera. It seems like it should be able to show the full FOV for a 18mm Zeiss Superspeed on a Red One MX 4k 16:9 setup. But it still shows arrows on each side. It sometimes does not recognize button pushes. Making it extremely annoying to use the app. The screen goes black between menus. It seems like the thing has crashed. The whole app seems slower now.

Great app for scouting and getting a good idea on quick set ups. We used it pretty extensively on iPad and iPhone and I loved the dropbox sync and metadata thats attached to the shots. Really great for small production travel - especially when youre against time (always:) being able to get a pretty accurate idea of the shot using something thats already being carried around in my pocket is a great help.

I was very satisfied until the last update ..After updating the application is can not started . I`m using iOS4.3 in iphone4 .. Why?

This app is very useful for me. But I notice some disadvantages. Every time I launch, flash status goes back Auto Mode. Flash status doesnt save. Function Button is hard to touch. Especially Shutter Button! Thank you.

Use it all the time when scouting for a shoot. Please add Metabones speedbooster option too. Cheers!

It started to crash after last update IOS 9.2. Im really fed up with iphone and moronic ios.

I recommend Artemis just in case you forgot your dslr on location. Great support quality and perfect customer service. Worth trying!

App crashes each time you change lens or camera. Developers did nothing to fix that, although they had an update recently. This app is buggy. Do not buy it, unless you want a headache for such an impressive price tag.

Unfortunately, it doesnt work on iPhone 5s, hope you will fix it very soon

Big problems sharing the image bank. Interrupted uploads and app crash meanwhile sharing pictures. Please fix this. Otherwise very useful

Crash on startup. Unstable

After the 2 last upgrade artemis doesnt work with my iPhone 4!!! When i touch left an right o the screen it doesnt open cameras and lenss. Help us!!! Please.

I bought the app 4 years ago after a few colleagues showed it to me. I also own the most famous brand traditional viewfinder, but after Artemis Ive only used it to show students the way it was before. Scouting, blocking a scene deciding the correct lens with Artemis is fast and very accurate for all camera and lenses you want to use. Grips are always very happy when they see a cinematographer using a viwfinder, as you are able to give them the right camera position with no need to move heavy equipment around the set. With the latest software update the pictures in your Artemis database are even easier to be analyzed. I have recently tried the HD version for iPad ,which is great too. The customer support is the fastest and serious ever. Five stars!

Every time I try to access the application it freaking crashes on me. Very disappointed

iPhone 6 user... It was fine.... After download latest version it keep dying... Please
